Google's URL Shortener
Many have heard of bit.ly and tinyurl.com. These are URL shortening services. For the people who do not know what the purpose of a URL shortening services is, I will provide an example.
Let's say you have the URL that you want to send to a friend and it is:
www.onetechtip.com/ere89943kj3jo3uiw84rw93u4jnwfnsmenfsnf$978343&*^%93nq39... on so for and on.
You really do not want to tell your friend go to this website with a long URL. Instead you can paste the URL into a URL shortening services and in return will give you a short URL like:
shor.tl/website.
Now this is easier to remember and say.
Use this to you advantage and let me say that Google has released a URL shortening services at http://goo.gl/.
